The Chicago Bulls were sitting at half time only up by 4 pts. when an unlikely leader stepped forward. Newly acquired forward Steve Novak, considered by most to be one of the worst players in the league, stepped in front of his team filled with stars and said, "Fellas tonights been a rough night for us so far shooting the ball and all, but, just feed me the ball around th eperimeter and i'll take over this game and get us this win." Coach Serna may have found the piece that his team has been missing all year, a sharp-shooting bug man that can really draw a lot of attention on the outside which will open up a lot space for their more capable drivers and slashers. Novak was added to the team just hours before the game as Star Forward Chris Bosh forgot his shoes and socks at their practice arena in Chicago before the team boarded their plane to head to NYC. Dick Serna had known Novak since he was an assistant coach at Marquette when he was there so he decided to give him a call. Novak was working on a set for a broadway musical that will be coming out later this month. "When coach called, i was so surprised that i immediately quit my job of making sets without knowing if my job would even be guaranteed yet. But right after i quit i went to MSG to start getting used to those rims and i think it might've worked." Novak said while shooting a wink at us reporters. Steve started the game and only attempted one shot in the 1st half as he said he played "nervous." "I really opened up in the 2nd half because my teammates starting finding me and did a great job of getting me the ball. But this win was not just because of me...... someone has to pass me the ball." Novak said. Novak ended the game with 29 points and absolutely put on a show for the fans of New York. Stephen Curry also had 20 points and 8 assists off the bench and Star Guard Deron Williams also had 20 points to go with 6 assists. Bosh was no where near his 71 point performance a couple nights earlier but was elated about the win, "Mane dat boi can shoot da treeees, and D-Will and Steph did rullll good tonight too cause dey were guarding me real tight. Dey know i can put da biscuit in da basket but now that the world saw just how good we are i think that we'll be a tough team to beat."
